Item Description
Smithsonite from Tsumeb is found in virtually every color of the rainbow, and it remains on the most prolific species from this most significant locality. This specimen displays a gorgeous green color, with sharp crystal faces and excellent luster. The greenish hue is caused by Copper content, as Smithsonite is a very chromophore friendly species, and will take on many different colors from the presence of other elements in it's molecular structure. Keep in mind that the value of specimens from Tsumeb increases daily it seems and good specimens from this mine are ALL highly sought after classics.
