Item Description

Tsumeb is one of the premier mineral localities in the world, producing exemplary specimens of a wide number of minerals ranging from common to extraordinarily rare. This fine small cabinet sized specimen features a coverage of beautiful, blue-green colored "tuft"-like crystals measuring up to 3 mm on matrix. The green color is caused by copper content. This color and habit of the crystals is a signature for Smithsonite from this locality. Very eye-catching and a highly representative example that came out of Tsumeb in the 1960s-1970s.
