Item Description
Tsumeb might be the most well-known locality in the history of mineral collector. This incredible locality produced hundreds of individual species, including some of the most desirable Smithsonites ever found, with various chromophores that created dazzling colors ranging from green to yellow to orange to pink with plenty of others in between. Some of the most iconic examples are the cobalt-bearing Smithsonite specimens, and this piece is a great display quality example of said material. This small cabinet features a coverage sharp, translucent, rich orange-pink color compressed rhombic crystals of cobalt-bearing Smithsonite with vitreous luster, sitting on contrasting dark grey matrix. Good quality and very eye-catching, with very little damage. The largest crystals measures 7 mm across. No major damage, and the actually sits quite nicely on its own for easy display.
