Juicy, translucent, beautiful, greenish-blue, bubbly smithsonite botryoids line a sculptural vug in hefty, large, layered smithsonite matrix on this colorful and excellent example from this very well-known Mexican locale. Blue is a very desirable color for the locale. Old - 1960s or 1970s vintage. Classic large material from this essentially mined out locale, that was documented in a 2011 Mineralogical Record Special Issue. Valued at $1800. This mine is now closed and done!
