Smithsonite has been reported from hundreds of around the world, but the thought of blue Smithsonite, will almost immediately invoke images of specimens from they famous Kelly Mine in New Mexico. This locality has given collectors some of the finest examples of the species ever found. This piece features lustrous/vitreous, eye-catching radiating aggregates of Smithsonite covering the underlying matrix. The color of the Smithsonite varies from lighter baby/sky blue shades to more of a darker almost grey-blue in other areas. This is a good quality and beautifully colored specimen of this old classic and sought after material. Priced in the inventory at $1,800.
