Item Description

Some of the most impressive specimens of Smithsonite from any world locality are those from Tsumeb. It occurs in a wide range of colors and varieties, and this particular piece is a nice example of said material. This piece features sharp, rhombic crystals of yellow ochre Smithsonite (possibly containing cadmium?) sitting on layer of what we believe to be white Willemite on black host rock matrix. The Smithsonite crystals measure to about 3 mm.
