Item Description

Fine quality, very sharp and lustrous brilliant soft golden to peach-pinks color modified crystal of Smithsonite sit brilliantly in a vug on matrix. The overall quality, aesthetics, color and form make this a very desirable specimen from this noted Smithsonite producer. The Smithsonites from Berg Aukus are arguably better quality than those from the nearby Tsumeb Mine, but probably don't get enough credit today as they were not as plentiful. I've seen many different habits and colors of Smithsonite from this locality, but this particular piece is a wonderful small miniature and the overall balance and appeal make it a worthwhile pickup for the material. The largest crystal measures 7 mm. If you collect Smithsonites or Namibian minerals, don't miss out on this one.
