Item Description
A lovely old miniature sized piece from the famous Kelly Mine in New Mexico. This prestigious locality has produced some of the finest examples of Smithsonite (particularly blue Smithsonite) in the world. This piece features a coverage of rather vitreous radiating spherical groups of pale greenish-blue, translucent Smithsonite "balls" on oxidized matrix. No major damage on the front/display side of the piece, and it's only contacted around the back/base where it was separated from the pocket wall.
Ex Brian Kosnar collection.
