Recently, a few miners in Mexico decided to go back into Choix to try to find some highly sought after specimens of Smithsonite, but this piece is actually from the old material (around 40 years ago). This mine is well known for its colorful and bright display specimens, ranging in color from pink to purple to blue to green. This piece features some beautiful watery green and white color spherical aggregates of Smithsonite with a very attractive gentle vitreous luster. A nice Smithsonite from this classic Mexican locale.
