Smithsonite

Item Description

A beautiful soft green Smithsonite from Tsumeb featuring several fairly sharp crystals on matrix. A small, doubly-terminated, pale yellow hexagonal crystal of Mimetite can be seen on the back side of the piece. The crystals themselves are not especially large, but they have good a very eye-catching color. Smithsonite from Tsumeb is one of the most classic species from what is arguably the greatest locality in the history of minerals. Enjoy!
