Item Description
A beautiful example of these famous Smithsonites from the El Refugio Mine in Choix, Mexico. These pieces are noted for their wide variety of colors, and often good sized display specimen. This piece is from a discovery in the late 1990s, but is honestly more characteristic of old material from the 1970s. The entire display side is covered with beautiful, slightly resinous, spherical aggregates of translucent purplish-pink Smithsonite on matrix. No damage that I can see and that color is so captivating. From the collection of Sean Lincoln.
