Item Description
Two beautiful distinct generations of smithsonite dramatically cover this colorful, very sculptural, vuggy small cabinet from this well-known aptly named extinct Utah Pb-Ag-Cu-Zn mine - the Hidden Treasure Mine. The first generation juicy sea-green botryoids were deposited on the fairly hefty matrix. Then, pleasing powder-blue, waxy luster botryoids on top of the sea-green. The exposed shapely sea-green area has a distinct scalenohedral form, adding much pizzazz to this outstanding locality piece. The mine is well-known for numerous lead, copper and zinc species and this is a unique example of smithsonite on smithsonite from the locale. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection.
