What an unusual Smithsonite specimen from Tsumeb or anywhere! This unusually attractive piece consists of well over a dozen, 2 to 8 cm Smithsonite stalactites clustered like a futuristic cityscape. The stalactites average 5 mm in diameter and are completely covered in tightly grouped, 1 to 2 mm Smithsonite crystals that impart a pronounced, overall scintillating effect. Some tips may be broken, or perhaps just naturally incomplete - it is difficult to say. This is a style that draws the eye and is a truly unique and captivating Tsumeb Smithsonite that is simply gorgeous on a shelf. Valued $2500-plus.
