Item Description
Skorpionite and tarbuttite are ultra rare zinc phosphates with skorpionite being unique to the namesake Type Locality. A large 4.5 cm vug on top of the piece is lined with colorless, transparent, glassy, skorpionite needles. Highly lustrous, translucent, pretty mint-green to white tarbuttite covers nearly all of the matrix, except for the back of the piece. This is an very rich and showy combination specimen of these extremely rare phosphates. Skorpionite was only described in 2008. Valued at $600-800.
