Skeletal "Window" Quartz with clay inclusions (ex Dr. Miguel Romero Collection)

A very rarely seen specimen of the so called "Mud Quartz" from an unlikely locality at Charcas. The piece shows beautiful skeletal / negative faces, often called "Window Quartz" or "Fenster" in German. I've seen only a handful of this specific habit from Charcas and they are certainly eye-catching. Along with the excellent form the piece has razor sharp faces with high luster and good gemminess, but the most attractive aspect arguably is the golden clay inclusions that give the piece such a distinctive two-tone appearance! I've heard people refer to these as "Mud Quartz" before, because at first glance they can look like they're dirty, but it's all below the surface. The display side of the piece is virtually undamaged, so it is contacted on the reverse side. Beautiful and rare for the locality.
