Item Description

A very rare, sculptural, sharply crystallized silver on copper specimen from the famous Quincy Mine. These combinations form rarely when molten silver and copper get bound together, without alloying or intermixing. Specimens like this, so far as I know, only came from old Michigan mines. The sharp, bright, silver crystals, to 1.7, have artistic form and the natural hole in one crystal really adds character. This is a classic, old-time and very rare crystallized silver and copper in this richness of silver. 27 grams. Ex Durkos and Richard Hauck Collections. Valued at $900-1000 for sharp crystallization and quality.
