Item Description

A hefty specimen known as a HALF BREED, in that it consists of merged copper and silver. Yet, the metals are discrete and not mixed. They are not an alloy, just in association. This is a bizarre and rare thing seen occasionally in the Keweenaw deposits, and such floater halfbreed nuggets are really interesting to come by. This is a large one, and well balanced with probably half of each by weight at a guess. 250 grams mass. Valued $750
