Item Description
A very aesthetic combination thumbnail from Copper Country. Intergrown, spinel-twinned silver feathers or fans have rare, blocky crystals at their tips. But, the real highlight are the scattered, sculptural, sharp, copper crystals with a rich, fine patina. These crystals are embedded-in, attached-to or strikingly project outward from the silver crystals like ornaments and add real pazzazz! Embedded quartz is also noted. This fine old-timer is probably from the Kearsarge Lode, notable for producing the finest Copper Country feather or leaf-type silvers. Comes with an old Foote label, probably dating from 1880-1895. A classic, very showy, old, two-sided silver with copper thumbnail. The two sides are totally different in form and look. Fairly valued at $1000.
