Silver with Copper

It's rare to find two different native metals together on the same specimen in nature. The most well-known examples are what used to be referred to as "half breed" specimens of native Silver with Copper from Michigan. These are the most iconic examples of these two native metals together from anywhere in the world. This particular specimen is an attractive thumbnail featuring a sculptural group of bright shiny Silver sitting atop richly colored Copper on minor matrix from the Ridge Mine. Crystalline areas can be seen, and the arborescent form makes for a very pleasing presentation. I can see a small amount of green Epidote for a nice touch. It's quite a showy example of this well-known material that dates back over a century. Valued at $800.
