Item Description
Beautifully burnished, highly lustrous, curved and curled silver wired form an attractive, well-placed, 1.9 x 1.9 cm, dense nest and are nicely accented with nearby clusters of splendent to matte-finish, acanthite cubes on the scuptural matrix. This showy and excellent piece could have come out anywhere in the heyday of this mine, which operated from 1907 to 1965. Wire silvers are not that common from Cobalt and this is a good one. It came through the noted John Durkos Collection to the Robert Hauck Silver Collection. valued $500
