Item Description
A very sculptural, aesthetic and dense two-sided nest of brightly burnished curved and curled silver wires from a recent find at the Imiter Mine of Morocco. Sintered looking acanthite is scattered on both sides. The piece is beautifully accented by terminated quartz crystals: a super-nifty, 6 mm crystal supremely perched on the end of the piece; and the 1.5 cm glassy cluster on one side. The richness and form of the silver wires are a marvel to behold and this super piece can definitely be displayed from either side! Fairly valued at $2500 and well worth it. If this was old German material, you could add an order of magnitude and more to the price. This piece was collected in early 2006 and I have not seen so much around recently. This is a very fine, impressive, combination showpiece for the find.
