Item Description

A classic, very sculptural and rather thick group of heavily striated wires of native silver make for a wonderful and eye-catching miniature display specimen. The piece has fabulous character as it reminds me of weather-beaten trees from either the Carmel coast or Joshua trees from the High Sierras of California. The great aesthetics and quality are certainly better than most in this size range that we have seen from this famous locality that dates back to the early 1700s. The dusting of acanthite adds rugged character. If you're a miniature collector, a native metals collector, or a collector of old-time classic European minerals, do not let this one get away! Ex Art Soregaroli Collection. Fairly valued at $2500....higher by far if you were to see it on a shelf of European specialists at the Munich show, priced in euros (in my opinion, because they appreciate the true rarity of such pieces in the market there, more than in the USA).
