Item Description
Incredibly dense nests of curled and curved silver wires with an acanthite-coating cover all sides of the mounded matrix on this very rich and dramatic specimen. The striking wires at the crest look like a swarm of writhing snakes! This fine piece could have come out anywhere in the heyday of this mine, which operated from 1907 to 1965. It came through the noted John Durkos Collection to the Robert Hauck Silver Collection.
