Item Description

Wire silvers are quite rare from Batopilas, famous for spinel-twins in the herringbone pattern. This is a superb dense nest of bright curled and curved silver wires is dramatically highlighted by the long wire, which would be about 4.5 cm long, if straightened out and by the two, bright, extremely thick silver "ropes" on the front of the piece! This stunning piece looks fabulous from either side. The bit of attached calcite matrix adds much character. Ex Durkos and Hauck Collections. Valued at $1000-1200.
