Item Description
A showy, highly unusual, very rich silver ore specimen from the famous mines at Guanajuato. A nifty nest of nicely burnished silver wires covers one end of the matrix, which is actually a dispersed rounded quartz-pebble conglomerate totally infused with tiny silver wires, acanthite and polybasite! Undoubtably old-time material, this is super-rich silver ore. Hefty at 69 grams. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection. I have never seen a wire silver specimen quite like this from any locale.
