Item Description
A very rare, showy and rich, silver ore specimen from an uncommon Honduras locale. Beautiful, curled and curved silver wires with fabulous patina are mixed with well-formed, blocky, battleship-gray, acanthite crystals. They fill numerous vugs on both sides of the mounded, blocky, quartz-rich matrix. This is really a rare, rich and spectacular silver and acanthite specimen from this uncommon locale. Ex John Durkos Collection (a noted east coast silver collector). His card indicates he paid himself $300 for this in 1991. NOT cheap at that time!!! Try to find another! Few silvers are coming out of this guarded mining district, in any form. Valued $1500 today, I think quite rationally
