Item Description

A classic example of the famous native silver specimens from Batopilas. These pieces are some of the most distinctive examples of the species ever found, mostly due to the fact that a large percentage of them formed iconic Spinel-law twins. This thumbnail specimen features excellent, sharp, Spinel-law twinned, "Herringbone"-style silver crystals forming a "leaf" or "sail"-shape, free of matrix. A very showy and highly attractive classic silver specimen from this important Mexican locality. A great piece to add to any thumbnail suite or a collection of native elements.
