Item Description
Besides rhodochrosite, the Uchucchacua Mine is also famous for fine wire silver and acanthite specimens. A stunning, burnished, curled and curved silver "rope" is dramatically set in a vug on one end of the massive sulfide matrix. The rope would probably be 3.5 - 4.0 cm long, if straightened out. It looks like a cobra. Showy and excellent material from the Art Soregaroli Collection. Material of this quality has not come out in quantity for at least 10 years.
