Item Description

Rare, old, sculptural, 2-sided mass of solid silver from the well-known, extinct Mansfeld copper slate deposits at Eisleben. The variable patina silver is composed of densely intergrown silver wires, with some having spinel-twinned features and massive silver. Herringbone wire silver patterns noted in some areas add character. 88 grams mass. A RARE occurrence of solid silver with some crystallization from the low grade copper ore deposits.
