Item Description

A super-rich and showy 4-sided specimen of silver that has pseudomorphed a dense jigsaw nest of flat dyscrasite prisms from the famous mines at Pribram. While these are not particularly rare - many came out in the Soviet era - large and aesthetic specimens are certainly uncommon. I have seen pieces of this magnitude on sale at the Munich Show for 2500-3500 Euros. In the US, they seldom turn up...although every now and then you can find one that is the more valuable silver, labelled only as dyscrasite. This is a top-shelf specimen of this material, worthy of the finest collections of classics or silver minerals. It is worth $2500-ish on the US market, but seems to me to be valued much higher in the European market and again, I would not blink twice if I saw on a shelf for much more.
