Silver on Acanthite, with Dolomite

Imiter has produced the finest, most distinctive Silvers in Morocco, if not all of Africa. The Silver here resides in lush nests of curled wires, filling in pockets between the grey-black, lustrous Acanthite crystals. The largest cluster of Silver actually transcends these low areas, thus carpeting a wide area of the specimen in stunning fashion. These striated wires have superb form and luster, and I adore that fact that the wires actually have a patina that varies from clean and bright to slightly burnished. The contrast between the wires and the Acanthite is striking, and the variation between patinas adds another level of interest and beauty. There are even pockets of Silver on the reverse side, making this a legitimate 360-degrees specimen, though the photo is clearly the preferred presentation side. For such curling, low-lying Silvers, this is as rich and aesthetic as you will find. It's a stunning, small-cabinet specimen that would be hard to match.
