Silver on Acanthite

The Hongda mine has been providing collectors with some superb Silver and Silver/Acanthite specimens for several years now. This small miniature specimen is a lovely association specimen featuring a few stout, striated, curled wires of native Silver sitting on crystallized! Acanthite matrix. Honestly, I think the Acanthites are the best aspect of the piece since they are well-crystallized, sculptural and really eye-catching. I don't know if this mine is still producing specimens, as I have seen very little on the market recently, so if you've always wanted one of these attractive contemporary classics, don't miss out on this cute display piece.
