Item Description

Silver specimens from the historic mines at Kongsberg are certainly one of the most desirable localities for the species. This sculptural, free-form miniature has a spongy look and is composed of tin white to partly tarnished crude microcrystallized plates and microcrystals with black acanthite. There is calcite matrix on the back. The holes in the piece really add character. Choice material. Ex Bob Trimmingham Collection and comes with an Oberlin, Kansas, Scott Williams Mineral Company label dating from 1991 to 1997.
