Item Description
A classic and rather THICK group of heavily striated wires of native Silver make for a wonderful and eye-catching thumbnail sized display specimen. The piece has some character as it there is a bit of a three-dimensional quality, and not just a thin single wire. The great aesthetics and quality are certainly better than most in this size range that I have seen from this famous locality that dates back to the early 1700s. The Himmelsfurst Mine was the most productive silver-producing locality in Freiberg, yielding over half a million tons of Silver during its existence! If you're a thumbnail collector, a native metals collector, or a collector of classic European minerals, do not let this one get away!
