A very elegant miniature, of swirling, robust silver wire with a bit of calcite matrix attached! We have seen bigger ones, and more massive wires from here, but this is an outstanding miniature example from the find (early 2000s) and for some reason I cannot recall many good pieces in this size - they just like to grow on bigger rocks, usually, it seems. Well, if you collect miniatures, that means a good one has been harder to find. In any case, the quality and balance of these wires, embedded in the matrix, is superb. ex Ed David Collection (Ed was a director of the White House Office of Science and Technology and a former science advisor to President Nixon).
