Item Description
This rich and showy piece from 1970s finds features many scattered clusters of hackly, spinel-twinned silver crystal with a bright patina. Crystallized silver is moderately rare from Tsumeb and is extremely rare in association with cuprian adamite. This association came out ONCE at the mine so far as anybody knows, and for a Tsumeb silver this is an obscenely large specimen with rich coverage. And it happens to be not so ugly as most rare tsumeb ores, as well... The rich bands of lustrous, translucent, emerald-green, cuprian adamite crystals on the hefty massive sulfide matrix are mixed with the ultra rare hydrated arsenate: yellow-green ferrilotharmeyerite are (Type Locality). This combination is RARELY seen from Tsumeb and SELDOM in this quality. From a recent Tsumeb collection acquisition. valued $2500
