Kongsberg is justifiably famous for wire silvers in huge thick ropes and clusters that are worth a fortune and in museums all over the world, but to many of us the much more rare and desirable silvers from here are the 1 in 1000 finds: the sharp and 3-dimensional crystals, which are simply the best of their kind except only for a very few specimens from Michigan. This superb, competition-level thumbnail specimen features sharp elongated crystals to 1.8 cm spraying to either side of a sharp cubic silver crystal (6mm) in the middle - the rarest habit of all. It is a MAJOR thumbnail specimen for the mine, the location in general, and silvers in general, and suitable for the highest level thumbnail collections. From an old collection, obviously.
