Item Description
Cubic silver crystal are rare and highly desirable from the famous mines of Copper Country, and are very rare from silver/copper halfbreed specimens. This very fine and sculptural old-timer is half silver and half copper, rare in itself, as most halfbreeds are mostly copper. This nicely burnished piece is also nicely divided, with half being silver and half being copper. The nifty nodule at the end is comprised of intergrown elongated cubes, as is much of the remaining silver portion. The attached malachite and prehnite are very nice and colorful accents. Halfbreed specimens of this sculptural quality are rare, as most such pieces are lumps. An outstanding specimen from the historic Quincy Mine and the Robert Whitmore Collection.
