Silver/copper halfbreed specimens of this sculptural quality are quite rare, as most such pieces are lumps. The upper portion of the piece consists of artistic intergrown plates of silver and copper and has a distinct biomorphic look. The base is both massive and platy. The silver has a hackly look and there is nifty scattered iridescence on both the copper and silver. The percentage of silver is quite high on this piece, which is also uncommon. This is a very fine and rare, old-time piece with aesthetic, 360-degree visual appeal and displays well without aid. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock.
