Item Description
Two bright silver nodules, to 8 mm, are connected by a silver seam and accompanied by an attached 5 mm copper nodule. These are nicely set on a very sculptural small cabinet basalt matrix, that is dramatically enhanced by the 2.2 cm arborescent cluster of variably iridescent hackly copper aesthetically perched on the top of piece. More hackly coppper plus strikingly contrasting green epidote and quartz further accent this showy and colorful combination from the Centennial Mine of historic Copper Country. Silver is uncommon from the mine. The well-known Centennial Mine area was intermittently active from 1863 until 1966, when it finally closed. See: https://www.mindat.org/loc-3844.html. Ex Lee Burnett Collection of Morrison, Colorado. A classic, rare and very showy silver combination from this famous mine.
