Another dramatic, CABINET, copper specimen from Copper Country and the Sal Avella Collection. This piece is a very thin, plated sheet of copper with a single silver plate visible on both sides at the top of the piece. The patina varies from brick-red to brown and much of both sides are attractively tinted with green malachite. This is old-time, unusual and very showy combination material from this historic US locale. The base has been sawed to enhance the display quality and the piece shows very well without aid. Valued at $500. Amazingly strange!
