Item Description
This is the "baby dragon" silver, for its shape! It is a solid and sturdy mass of thick, ropelike silver that is classic for this locality, although not usually seen in such dense masses. The ropes or wires of silver are actually elongated silver crystals, spinel twinned. This is an aesthetic cluster of solid silver that masses 16 grams (half an ounce in weight). It would have come out in the 1980s or early 1990s when this location was producing. It is a particularly fine miniature silver from here, as it has a really nice aesthetic shape, whereas most are rather flimsy or lack density in the core to keep them solid and safe for handling.
