Item Description

Recently, a small group of miners risked losing their jobs at the Porco mine, and "liberated" some specimens from being sent to the crusher and smelter in an attempt to make some extra for their families. Miners will immediately lose their jobs if they're found taking ore out of the mine. I was fortunate enough to obtain a few of these pieces, and they are by far some of the better contemporary Silver specimens that I've seen from this mine in a long time. Typically the Silver specimens from Bolivia are somewhat "flat" and boring, but this piece is fairly aesthetic for a Bolivian Silver. It is a nice little group with good form and eye-catching aesthetics. This is a good toenail specimen from a classic Bolivian locality. The mine at Porco is THE oldest and most significant Silver mine in Bolivia. Enjoy.
