Cluster of exceptionally large Wulfenite crystals from the great Tsumeb Mine, where the species is already rare and where such clusters are almost impossible to obtain - even if they survive! The largest Wulfenite here is a 4.6 cm, which is a phenomenal size for Tsumeb, or anywhere else for that matter. Translucent, the crystals also have a terrific, adamantine luster that doesn't need much light for these crystals to look like flattened diamonds. The Wulfenites can also seem as brittle as diamonds, so there are a few areas where parts of a crystal are missing. However, that is definitely not where your eyes gravitate towards, so the effect on the aesthetics is much less that you would think. There are also some interesting, sharp, and delicate iron oxide phantoms, which proper backlighting will highlight. Unusual and impressive, this borderline-sized very large miniature or small cabinet piece is an important cluster for Tsumeb.
