Item Description
Massive blocky crystals of azurite to 7 cm in height, combine to form this sculptural specimen of solid azurite from one of the world's most famous azurite localities in Morocco. This is surely a piece from the historic era of the 1980s or before, as such large crystals have not been seen in modern times. Shockingly, it is 360 degrees displayable and complete all around, except for a few contact spots. These large, blocky-styled crystals look like elements of a geometry set, joined together for dramatic display on this cabinet-sized specimen. Although Milpillas in Mexico produced a huge number of azurites from 2007-2017 or so and drowned the world in blue azurite, this is something different in style and form; and therefore retains a great value to collectors as it is not more of the same style that came out of Mexico. Valued at $4000-5000 or more.
