Item Description

Siegenite is an uncommon cobalt, nickel sulfide. Sparkly, brassy, siegenite microcrystals richly cover the 3-dimensional plate of lustrous, battleship-gray, cuboctahedral galena crystals and sharp colorless dolomite rhombs. Double your pleasure on this excellent Sweetwater Mine piece, as this is a two-sided specimen. The back is very rich in dolomite rhombs with a scattered galena, but no siegenite! Interesting chemistry here! Ex George Feist Colletion # 2987.
