Item Description

Siegenite is a rare cobalt, nickel sulfide and some of the best-known examples are those from the Buick Mine (Amax Buick Mine) in Missouri’s Viburnum Trend. Good quality display specimens are seldom seen from this locality, and this piece is one of the better examples we've had to offer in the auctions recently. This piece features several of well-formed, (undistorted) rather sharp, splendent, golden-silvery colored octahedral Siegenite crystals measuring up to 3 mm on matrix. We have photographed the piece with a macro lens to better illustrate the quality. This is older material and seldom available in this quality on the market today. If you're a rare species collector or you've always wanted a nice specimen of these superb Siegenites, don't miss out.
