Item Description
Siegenite is an uncommon Co-Ni sulfosalt and rich and fine combination specimens, such as this from the famous Sweetwater Mine are seldom available. Mounded clusters of sharp, silvery bright siegenite crystals and light pastel-pink dolomite rhombs cover the sculptural matrix plate. A few scattered golden chalcopyrites add color. This is older material and is seldom available in this quality. Siegenite is a rare mineral from the Viburnum Trend and is found at its most significant here. Rather, it was. No finds I am aware of have come out since the 1980s. This is a superb example from the Dr. Gary Hansen dealer stock.
