Siderite with Quartz (old classic)

Intergrown rosettes of lustrous, rust-brown, siderite disks are attractively clustered on both sides of quartz crystals matrix on this showy and excellent combination old-timer from the historic mines of Devon. Periphery wear is noted, but has very minimal impact on this fine old-time combination piece. This flattened, diskoid form of siderite is very uncommon from Devon and the piece could be from Cornwall. valued $250
