Item Description

The French Alps have produced some beautiful specimens over the years, and some really interesting Quartz association pieces. The famous Mt Blanc Massif sits on the border of France and Italy in the Alps and is most famous for producing the world's finest red Fluorites. This piece has no Fluorite, but it is a really attractive association specimen featuring interesting somewhat skeletal grey colored rhombs of Siderite intermixed with very gemmy Quartz crystals. I did my best to illustrate the Siderites in the close up photos, but they are tightly intergrown, so it's difficult to show their attractive form. Better in person, and a worthwhile reference piece of this cool Alpine material.
